Application

The Master in Biochemistry at the LMU Munich is a cross-disciplinary program taught exclusively in English and open to German and international students. Each year, we offer two application deadlines for the Master in Biochemistry program: January 15 and July 15. The programs start in April and October, respectively. Your application should include the following documents:
        Short application letter
        Certified copies of academic certificates and/or transcripts:
        High School Diploma (transcripts of individual grades)
        Bachelor's Degree (transcripts of individual grades)
        Curriculum vitae

In order for your application to be successful, your Bachelor grades should be well above average. In addition, all candidates will have to take a mandatory entrance exam. The mandatory entrance exam will be held 6-8 weeks after each application deadline at the Gene Center in Munich.  Unfortunately, we cannot cover your travel expenses.

In addition to applying to the Masters Program at the Department of Biochemistry, international students will also have to apply for admission to the LMU Munich at the Office of International Affairs.  The application deadlines are also January 15 and July 15. In sum, international students have to send in two applications, one to the Department of Biochemistry and one to the Office of International Affairs of the LMU Munich.
