Education

Educating and mentoring students and young scientists at every career stage is central to the Gene Center’s mission. We provide a supportive, international environment with excellent research facilities. Formal training occurs at three levels: We offer a three-year Bachelor Program in Chemistry/Biochemistry in conjunction with the Department of Chemistry and an international two-year Master’s Program in Biochemistry, which is taught entirely in English. The Gene Center also has its own doctoral program and participates in the International Max-Planck Research School for Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences (IMPRS-LS). We welcome students and scientists from other countries and encourage all our trainees to seek international experience.
