Educating and mentoring students and young scientists at every career stage is central to the Gene Center's mission. We provide a supportive, international environment with excellent research facilities. Formal training occurs at three levels: We offer a three-year Bachelor Program in Chemistry/Biochemistry in conjunction with the Department of Chemistry and an international two-year Master's Program in Biochemistry, which is taught entirely in English. The Gene Center also has its own doctoral program and participates in several structured PhD programs, including the Graduate School of Quantitative Biosciences Munich (QBM), the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences (GSN), the International Max-Planck Research School for Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences (IMPRS-LS), and the Graduate College GRK1721. We welcome students and scientists from other countries and encourage all our trainees to seek international experience.
