LAFUGA

The Laboratory for Functional Genome Analysis (LAFUGA) is an integrated technology platform within the Gene Center, consisting of the three research units Genomics (Helmut Blum), Proteomics (Georg Arnold), and Model Organisms (Eckhard Wolf). Gene expression analysis at both the transcriptome and the proteome level is a powerful tool for the discovery of functionally relevant biomolecules. The combination of such molecular data with animal model research constitutes a unique high-end approach to the discovery and validation of gene function at an organismic level. LAFUGA thus provides the most sophisticated techniques for the elucidation of gene function, gene networks, and systems behavior to our academic and industrial research partners.
